Consumer ECO-Laurer for Baltic Wood

Consumer ECO-Laurer is an award granted each year by the editorial staff of the informational-promotional supplement to Rzecz o Biznesie
in Rzeczpospolita.  
The competition has the goal of highlighting healthy products, manufactured with ecological methods, containing natural components, and above all having a healthy influence on the consumer and the natural environment.  

For many years, the company has been carrying out its own pro-ecology policy, setting ambitious environmental goals that protect the surrounding environment and help us live in harmony with nature. The ecological awareness of Baltic Wood is reflected in all areas of the company’s activities.  

The company buys products that come from certified forests, conducts analysis of suppliers with regards to the quality of raw material and fulfilment of environmental standards. 

The production process is continuously monitored by an authorized agent of the ISO 14001 System. Water-based chemical agents from the best, most ecological producers are used for gluing and colouring the wood.
The company does not exceed the maximum limits for noise and formaldehyde emission during the production process. Before the raw material is sent to production, it is kept in stabilizing warehouses where,
in order to ensure the highest quality of the final product, it is stored surrounded by a network of sprinklers which maintain the appropriate humidity level.  

Post-production waste of pure wood supplies the biomass-driven boiler room on the plant site, which heats both Baltic Wood and the neighbouring plants of the Nowy Styl Group. 

Dangerous waste, constituting a small fraction of all the waste generated by the plant, are systematically disposed of by authorized companies with whom the company has appropriate agreements. 
The production hall, boiler room and mechanical workshops of Baltic Wood are equipped with drip reservoirs and environmental receptacles to safeguard against possible environmental emergencies, such as leaks or spills.  

The final product is made in large part from certified wood. The packaging is made from paper, cardboard and artificial material that is 100% recyclable. Our floors are a long-lasting product that can be renovated with the possibility of glue-free LOC installation.  

Baltic Wood is also people who pay a lot of attention to ecology.
The administration cares about minimizing the use of paper. Employees prefer telephone or e-mail as a means of communication. 
The certificates that the company has been awarded – ISO 9001
and ISO 14001 – obligate it to continuously care about the environment and perfect its knowledge in this domain.

Baltic Wood organizes its own pro-ecology training sessions for its employees. The company also helps local society. Some of the pure wood production waste is donated to recipients who produce blocks for children. Sawdust is also used as bedding for horses of a horse-breeding farm befriended with the company.
